About Dr. German
Dr. German Cheung is the Founder and Chairman of Metis Global Group and Athena Financial Group. Having been in the financial industry for over 20 years, Dr. German has decided to extend Metis’ innovative and affordable trust plans to Singapore and thus, in 2019 Metis Global (Singapore) Pte. Limited was founded. Throughout his time in the industry, Dr. German has founded a number of companies that are licensed with various regulators such as the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (HKSFC), Hong Kong Confederation of Insurance Broker (HKCIB), Hong Kong’s Insurance Authority (HKIA), Hong Kong’s Trust or Company Service Provider License, Cook Islands’ Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC), The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission (FSC), Japan Financial Services Agency and Labuan Financial Services Authority. Dr. German is also a holder of several professional qualifications including Registered Investment Advisor under Japan Financial Services Agency, China Financial Planner, Responsible Officer under HKSFC, Chief Executive under HKCIB, HKIA and Registered Director in Hong Kong’s Trust or Company Service Provider License, Cook Island’s FSC, MAS and BVI’s FSC.
